Like with the portrait of Buffy, I wanted to showcase more artwork at my 2nd visit to the San Diego Comic Con. So I created both Sam & Dean's portraits on the same day (from the TV show Supernatural). Until that day, I had never drawn two portraits in a single day (and it took months after that to get my drawing mojo back). It's amazing what someone can accomplish when they are motivated and inspired.
On a fun-fact note, my friend Mary, who was working at the con, got me into the line for the poster signing at the Warner Bros. booth. Although I didn't get to meet Jared Padalecki (Sam), I did get to meet Jensen Ackles (Dean) and Eric Kripke (the creator) and gave them both the drawings I created. They seemed very taken back and impressed and both thanked me very much.
The Winchester Boys was intended to be a mural showcasing several ofthe shows characters, both good and evil, with Sam & Dean front and center. Stay tuned on if that project will ever see the light of day.

When showing off the two pieces at the Comic Con, I made some friends with some of the convention staff that really loved the drawings. I told them of my overall idea for the mural and they asked me to draw John Winchester, the two brother's dad (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

What is a team without their car? Next on my list was to draw the boys' stylin' 1967 Chevy Impala.
