These are the various renderings of my character Jagaris, the Undead Slayer, whom I created in one of my better Dungeons & Dragons groups I was fortunate enough to play in. He started out as just a character rendering and moved into being my principle character in the Everquest Gathering/FanFaire posters I created. Below I've labeled each rendering by itself (away from the poster version) with a brief description on each).

This was my first rendering of Jagaris, equipped a magic sword and magic warhammer for destroying the undead, along with some magic scepter I concocted (I thought it looked good on him).
When I was asked to create the first EverQuest Gathering poster, I used Jagaris as my character and converted him to black and white for the poster. You can see it here.

I created this version of Jagaris with the second EverQuest convention in mind. I felt the first rendition of him was a bit on the wussy side so I wanted to beef up his overall look and make him meaner and more battle-worn.

When EverQuest was bought by Sony Online, they changed the Gatherings to FanFaires. With the change of ownership and titles came the rise of politics; Sony wanted to use their own artists for their conventions. The first FanFaire was my attempt to hold on the the poster art job I was rather enjoying. My version of Jagaris here is a bit darker for this poster and my least favorite of his renditions (although I do like how the sword came out).

My friend at Sony Online said that I had a chance to reclaim my post as the artist for the poster for the third FanFaire and I jumped at the chance. I created several characters for this, designing them to reflect character looks in the game; However, I wanted to still keep my main man in this version and gave him a slightly new look. He now sported twin blades and wore the clothes of a ranger from EverQuest.
