This was a birthday present for my very good friend and colleague, Jesse Combs. She wanted a "Nick Original" and so I dove into the project. Jesse is very much into the macabre and the grotesque yet she loves the fantastic and magical (as you can tell by her artwork) so I decided to meld the two worlds for this project. The lovely ladies I took from a Playboy magazine and went so far as to create a name for our Dark Lady as well as a story behind her. For all of you that have asked what Kattiva means, it derives from the Italian word cattivo, which means "wicked".
